I married my husband because of Lord of the Rings! A little explanation may be in order. For starters my family are huge Lord of the Rings fans. We have seen all of the movies and rewatch them often. The soundtracks are favorites and we refuse to watch the movies unless they are the extended version. But I failed to buy the extended DVDS with the option of getting the special commemorative gift for the Two Towers. I had failed in my duty as a true fan. So when I reconnected with my now husband, a story for a different time, and found out he had gotten that I knew it was kismet.
And now his Sméagol lives happily in a shelf with my Minis Tirith and Argonath and we have our own child who has been known to quote Sméagol on occasion. One day they may have a LotR’s tattoo just like 3 of their older siblings.
