“It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire.” With these words the world was forever changed. At least mine was, 6 year old me had never experienced anything like this before. And years later I was able to share that same experience with my own children when the second set of films were released. Star Wars is definitely deserving of their own category.
Star Wars for me is more than just a movie, it is a fantasy world that helped build my imagination into something that could picture a world full of different creatures and adventures. And I must admit when I visited Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland for the first time there may have been a tear or two shed.
